April 6, 2015 (Oh my Heart.)

Heeeeey.

     THEY ARE BUILDING A TEMPLE IN HAITI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my heart. I cannot even begin to tell you guys how happy that made me hearing those words come out of President Monson's mouth!!! I seriously cried my little eyes out. I can just imagine all of those incredible Haitian's reaction when they heard that news! I know it is bad, but part of me wanted to be back in New City with them partying because of how good God is! GOD IS SO GOOD. So now that we are already talking about General Conference... Let's just talk about how stinking good it ALL was! It just keeps getting better and better. I LOVED the talk by Elder Dale G. Renlund. I loved the quote he said, "A saint is a sinner who keeps on trying." That is seriously what this life is all about. We just need to keep on trying! It's like the quote Dad sent me from President Hinckley that said something like, You haven't failed until you've quit trying. As long as we are trying to do our best to live the gospel and move forward with faith, we can trust in the Lord's promises to us! Conference just makes me feel so good inside! I think though that Heavenly Father was humbling me because the whole stinking thing was about marriage... haha SHOOT. I went into conference trying to get an answer to what I should do when I go home... hahaha soooo.... that was awkward. Sister Pexton thought it was SO funny! It was still good! (: haha
     We had a good Easter! Thanks for the cute Easter package! That was nice of yous to send a basket for Sister Pexton! We loved it! We went to a member’s home in between conferences on Sunday and had an Easter egg hunt with their family! haha It was soooo much fun! It reminded me of being home! And being young again.... hahaha It was such a good Easter this year! AND THE WEATHER IS FINALLY GETTING BETTER!!!!!!!! Hallelujah! So thankful it is finally warm. That took long enough...

     So the rest of the week went pretty well! We were able to find a new investigator all because of one of our less actives! So cool. She invited this guy to meet with us! Member Missionary work in action right there! (: haha He is in his 20's and he is from somewhere in Africa I believe. He is soooo prepared. He wants to change his life and feels like something is missing right now. He told us in our lesson with him this week, "Something deep inside tells me to give you guys a chance." I was like... You are very very right... and that something is most definitely the Holy Ghost. haha He told us as soon as he knows that the Book of Mormon is true he will be baptized!!! AAAAHH. Such a cool miracle. This was just proof again to me that God is really in the details of this work. No matter what, the work of Salvation, will continue to move forward! We are still working with the investigators we have right now. They are slowly progressing, but we are seeing tender mercies in all of their lessons! Our one investigator that was on date for the 12th won't make that date, but we know that he will get there! He just needs to understand things more! I am excited to contact more and more people this week especially since it is so warm now! It is so much easier to want to be outside when it is warmer! It also makes me so much happier... haha
     Well that was about all the news I have for yous this week. Things are going good over here! I hope that you guys had a great Easter and Conference weekend as well! I cannot even believe that Meg is graduating from COLLEGE this week. AAAAH. That just blows my mind. Life is happening so quick! haha I hope that the graduation goes well! TAKE PICTURES FOR ME PLEEEEAASE. (: Have a great week! Oh and share that video, "Because He Lives." (:

Happy Late St. Patty's Day!

Some people in our ward!

One of our less actives brought this out.... We totally thought it was actually beer... BUT it was really ginger ale... hahahaha

March 31, 2015 (Happy Easter!)

Hey Hey Hey!
     So I am on exchange right now and I don't have my planner with me... Which makes it even harder for me to remember what we did last week... hahaha I am going to do my best trying to remember! We are working with a lot of less actives right now. They are seriously some of my favorite people in this area! There is this one less active we are working with who has struggled with alcohol her whole life. She had become a really bad alcoholic and just couldn't overcome her addiction. She had a crazy experience that basically has scared her straight! She heard voices telling her to follow them and not follow Jesus Christ. After that experience she knew that she had to stop drinking once and for all! It was cool to hear her share this experience with me. I remember thinking that her experience was terrifying, but how cool it is that when we turn to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ they will help us overcome our weaknesses and trials. I have definitely learned on my mission that satan is real, but that we have so much more power than him. We can choose to do good things and kick him out of our lives! This sweet woman is now 7 weeks sober! Isn't that the coolest thing in the whole wide world!? It just hurts my heart! The Atonement of Jesus Christ is REAL. It does work. The grace of Jesus Christ knows no bounds. I just cannot even describe what an amazing experience it has been to watch people change their lives and use the Atonement. I am soooo grateful for the eternal and unconditional love that the Savior has for each one of us! The grace of Jesus Christ is sufficient for every one of us and thank goodness for that! (:
     We aren't sure if our investigator will make his baptism date for April 12th... We have been having a hard time getting him to open up and get more involved in the lessons and in the Gospel. So right now we are just trying to make sure he really gets an answer that the Book of Mormon is true. We know that once he receives that answer then his desire to come to church and to progress will increase! We are going to try and get him involved in the Young Men's tomorrow night. So hopefully he will come to Mutual and that he will like it and make some friends! (:
     That is about all that I have to tell yous this week. I am doing well! Still exhausted, but I am pulling through it all! (: haha I have to get going now so that I can go teach the Gospel with the sister I am on exchange with! Hopefully I will be able to understand some Spanish... hahahha It is always a little rough going on exchanges with Spanish sisters because I never know what in the world is going on! hahaha (: I really need the gift of tongues! (;
     I am glad that everyone is doing well! I hope you guys have a great Spring Break and an amazing Easter! Thanks for everything yous do!!!
